What do you charge?
Each installation is unique, which is why we either like to perform an on-site estimate, or see photos of the areas to light. Our minimum fee for a first-time project is $1500, which includes the purchase of our commercial-grade holiday lights, as well as their installation, maintenance, removal, and storage. In subsequent years, you will only pay the cost of labour, as well as any other lighting features you wish to add!
Do you sell or hang incandescent lights?
We do not sell or hang incandescent lights. Our business is committed to reducing the amount of lights that end up in our landfills as well as reducing energy consumption for our clients.
Will you install my used lights?
We are able to install your used lights if they are commercial grade. Unfortunately, we are unable to install store-bought lighting as we cannot guarantee the quality or the condition of the lights and it often results in disappointment for everyone.
Are you insured?
Yes. All FestiLight staff are WCB insured, and we possess $5 million general liability as well.
Can I leave my lights on throughout the year?
While the choice is up to you, we don’t recommend this because the lights are designed for seasonal use only. If left up for more than 4 months, the lights are subject to environmental conditions that can cause the lights and accessories to degrade faster than they would otherwise. UV radiation from the summer sun will cause the lights to fade, wire casing will become brittle, and connections will begin to corrode. We are unable to guarantee the workmanship if the lights stay up longer than 4 months, and are unable to warranty them should anything go wrong.
Will you store my lights through the rest of the year?
Yes! We’ll map and label your lights, and place them in protective containers. We also offer to store them for you through the summer months at no extra charge.
Do you rent lights?
We rent lights for weddings, parties, and short-term usage. We do not rent lights for the holiday season. Instead, purchasing lights from us for the holidays is more cost effective when comparing renting lights for two or more seasons.
Do you have references?
We will gladly give you references, which are available upon request. You can also read our testimonials, and we can give you the locations of nearby projects for you to look at. We want you to be 100% confident when hiring FestiLight.
Do you have a warranty?
Yes, we have a four year warranty! While our lights last much longer than this, we will warranty them if there are any issues within their first four years of seasonal use. Lights left up longer than 120 days consecutively will void the warranty. Please read our warranty page for more info.
